Observation Sketch

Part of being an artist is drawing whatever hits my eye that I think is interesting.

The other day when I was at store, I saw this girl who was super cute. Her skin was olive and her hair was unnaturally blond. Her bangs were cut so blunt, it made her hair look like a wig. (It may have been a wig…) I quickly took a mental note, and sketched an anime version of her when I got home.

Right now, I'm strangely obsessed with blue sharpie pens for sketching. I just love the way they look. 

My husband says that it's kind of creepy how artists draw people that they see. Yeah, it is kind of stalker-ish. But that's the fun part!
